Concert marathon ahead!

Last months Fridrik has been touring Iceland with Jógvan Hansen from Faroe Islands. Together they gave 25 concerts all around Iceland. This christmas they will release a new album together. In october Fridrik gave apowerful three times sold out shows in his hometown Akureyri, north of Iceland on his 30th birthday. In november Fridrik will produce a show in memory of Freddie Mercury in Reykjavik big concert hall Harpa. All the concerts are sold out!. The day after Mercury’s last tribute concert Fridrik will go to Faroe Islands and start touring with the Icelandic Frostroses wich is the Icelandic biggest christmas show. In december he will perform at 30 concerts with Frostroses all around Iceland. Busy schedual ahead but hopefully many great performances from Fridrik. Stay tuned!

The Frostroses Christmas Concert celebrates its 10th concert year this December. On the occasion of the anniversary Frostroses stage a monumental 10th Year Anniversary Concert where the leading performers of Frostroses through the years will sing with the Frostroses Orchestra and choirs. All the most popular songs will be performed in an elegant staging in the Eldborg hall of Harpa,
in several venues around Iceland and for the first time in Faroe Islands.

Fridriks 30th birthday

Fridrik set his hometown, Akureyri on fire with three sold out concerts in the beginning of october 2011. The show was fantastic and the crowd loved every minute of the show.
Fridrik performed all of his well known hits together with some new songs that he wrote recently. The concert was filmed and will be available online in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

I hope you like this song that I wrote last year and premiered at my concert in Göta Lejon few weeks ago. My friend Peter Fenner did the lyrics for me after I told him my idea of this lady, Rosie. Actually I was always singing “Daisy” when I wrote the song but “Rosie” is more up to date i guess:) The camera work is really simple. I just wanted to have some video shots of the concert for me personally but I hope it’s ok for youtube video too. I might put some others from the concert if you like this one:). Until next time! First of all I want to thank all my guests who attended the concert. I was so happy seeing those 800 faces when I walked into the stage not knowing what to expect. The crowd was great. From the first minute they seemed to enjoy the show. My band was awesome, privilege to work with you guys and girls and I sure hope to do it soon again:) Here are few pictures from the concert and in a few days there will be videos from the concert available on this website of mine. I just sat down for a few seconds and decided to tell u that everything is ready for the concert tomorrow. The band sounds great and my Swedish backing vocals are the best! I think I have the best crew ever and I’m so much looking forward to sing my ass off tomorrow:) I truly want to thank all the people that are working on this project with me. I’m so thankful. After the big Melodifestivalen final in Globen 12th of march, “Worlds biggest Schlager party” was held at Operaterrassen in Stockholm. Among artist were Fridrik Omar, Charlotte Perelli (Winner of esc 1999), Simon Forsberg (Melodifestivalen 2011 and Mr. Gay Sweden 2010) and Linda Pritchard (Melodifestivalen 2011). Great night after fabulous final in Globen.

Wednesday night 30th of march will be a big Iceland night with beloved icelandic artists in the classy
Göta Lejon theater in Stockholm, Södermalm.
Fridrik Omar will be performing with a live band and the great Yohanna who represented Iceland in ESC in 2009 with ”Is it true” is coming as a guest appearance and will be singing duets with Fridrik Omar as her own songs.
The house opens at 18.30, but the concert will start at 20.30. Come early and take a drink before the show starts and meet number of travel agents who will be introducing Iceland as a vacation destination!

The embassy of Iceland in Sweden/Stockholm and Fridrik Omar are the organizers of this event with a number of others who will be introduced later.
